I delete all unresolved or non-responsive inquires after 3 weeks to keep my inbox organized. If you submit a price inquiry or a form and don’t communicate with me on how you do or don’t want to move forward please know all your information as well as my responses will be erased after 3 weeks and you’ll have to resubmit again.
**Age Requirement**
YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO GET A TATTOO FROM ME. I DO NOT ALLOW PARENTS TO SIGN FOR MINORS.
**My Price Structure**
My hourly rate for tattoos that take over 2 hours is $200. I charge based on the time it takes to complete your tattoo, using a time clock to track this during your session. Both new and returning clients are required to leave a non-refundable down payment of $200 for tattoos expected to take over 2 hours. For tattoos under 2 hours, a non-refundable down payment of $80 is required, with a quoted price provided at the time of your inquiry.
Your down payment will be deducted from your total tattoo cost and covers your consultation, design preparation, and confirms your commitment to getting the tattoo done.
Please be aware that certain tattoo styles and subject matters may require additional time and possibly more than one session to complete. This is especially true for dotwork shading, extensive linework, multiple color shading, cover-ups, mandalas, and geometric patterning. If you're concerned about budgeting for your tattoo, you can space your sessions according to your financial plan, scheduling appointments every 4, 8, or 10 weeks apart.
—WHAT I TATTOO AND DO NOT TATTOO—
**Tattooing Style**
My tattooing style primarily focuses on illustrative imagery, reminiscent of vintage botanical and zoological prints. I enjoy utilizing varying line widths and techniques such as dotwork, stipple shading, line hatching, and soft blended shading. Both grey and color tattooing inspire me, and I have a keen interest in floral and fauna designs, sacred geometry, mandalas, folk art, occult and spooky themes, religious motifs, ornamental designs, filigree, vintage and antique objects, insects, shells, fossils, skulls, anatomical imagery, monsters, mythical creatures, and statues. There’s not much I won’t consider, so if you have a design in mind, please don’t hesitate to ask!
**Cover-Ups**
I do accept cover-up tattoos with specific stipulations to ensure a successful transformation. If you’re looking to cover an existing tattoo, please keep in mind that the new design will need to be at least twice the size of the original. It’s important to understand that only dark and solid shading can effectively cover a tattoo. Styles that rely on transparency—where the negative space is your skin or the tattoo isn’t fully shaded—are generally not suitable for cover-ups. Examples include mandalas, henna-style imagery, or black and grey floral designs that utilize stipple shading, line hatching, or dot work. When inquiring about a cover-up, please provide a clear photo of the existing tattoo that isn’t an extreme close-up; I like to see the surrounding area. For example, if the tattoo is on your wrist, please include a photo of your entire forearm.
**Blast Overs**
Blast overs are a popular technique for concealing unwanted tattoos, where a solid black tattoo is applied over a lighter or colored tattoo, sometimes referred to as a blackout tattoo. I’m open to doing these, but please note that they may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired dark effect. I will charge for all sessions and will not provide free touch-ups for this specific technique.
**Tattoo Reworks by Another Artist**
If you’re interested in reworking a tattoo done by another artist or adding to an existing piece, I will need to see the original tattoo before making any commitments. Please understand that many rework requests may not align with my artistic style. While I welcome inquiries, I will be honest and kind in my response if I feel the project isn’t a good fit for me.
**— CONSULTATION INFORMATION —**
Consultations typically last 5 to 10 minutes and do not require a down payment. To book an appointment, you will need to leave a down payment, which can be made during your consultation or via an online payment invoice through Mothers Tattoo if no consultation is necessary. Please note that this payment is non-refundable, so ensure you are truly ready to get a tattoo. I do not offer refunds under any circumstances, so I urge you to be absolutely certain before proceeding. If an unforeseen event prevents you from getting the tattoo after making a down payment, you will have the option to reschedule within six months.
Once your appointment is set, you may not hear from me unless I need specific information related to your tattoo. Due to a high volume of clients, I typically draw all my designs one or two days before your appointment, and sometimes even on the day itself. I will not be able to show you the design prior to your appointment date. While some clients express concern, saying, "What if I hate it?", I can confidently say that in my 17 years of experience, I have never had a client dislike the design I presented. My goal is to exceed your expectations, and if you appreciate most of my portfolio, you should feel confident in the outcome.
**— CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING —**
If you find that you cannot make your tattoo appointment, please email me in advance to let me know. I understand that life can present unexpected circumstances that may interfere with your plans. While I don’t need to know the specifics of your cancellation, I do ask that you notify me as soon as possible so I can offer your spot to another client. Please remember that down payments are non-refundable, regardless of the circumstances. However, if you are unable to proceed with your tattoo after paying your down payment, I can help you reschedule for a later date, even if it’s several months away.
If you need to reschedule, please do so by emailing me. You must reschedule your appointment within six months of the original date. I allow new clients to reschedule up to two times from their initial appointment before losing their down payment. If you anticipate a longer delay in getting your tattoo, please communicate that with me instead of continually rescheduling. While I cannot refund the down payment, I can offer options that may accommodate your situation.

Please select and copy the details on this form and paste it to your email. Answer the following questions to help me understand the details of what you would like to do. Please keep your answers descriptive but simple. I would appreciate it if you could refrain from telling me personal stories regarding the meaning of your idea as I’m just really looking to know what the physical details of your idea are. An example of what I’m looking for would be like this, (I want 4 daisies with a honey bee on my left inner forearm in color.) feel free to attach reference photos to your email.
1. What is your first and last name and phone number? If you have preferred pronouns please let me know.
2. On what part of your body do you want your tattoo and at what size would you like it to be? It’s very helpful if you can take a profile style image of the area you want tattooed. Please try to use the self timer and set it up instead of trying to hold the camera phone and take it.
3. What is your tattoo idea?
4. Do you want a color tattoo or a black and grey tattoo?
5. What size do you want your tattoo to be? Please use your dimensions in inches. You do not have to give a perfect measurement but a general idea will work for me.
6.Are there tattoos near the area that you want me to tattoo that I might have to work around? If yes, please include good clear photographs that show the area centered and the space surrounding the existing tattoo. I generally recommend having someone take this picture for you.
7.Is this a cover-up tattoo? If yes, please include photographs that are visibly clear with good lighting. I will want to see the space around the existing tattoo as well so it’s usually best to have someone take this picture for you.
8. My schedule is weekdays only and I’m off on all weekends. When you submit the form I’ll tell you what my days and times are.
Please make sure to attach any inspirational photos or reference photos for me to see. I prefer attachments over hyperlinks to other websites and Pinterest pages.
It sometimes takes me a few days to reply but if you don’t hear from me after 7 days please follow up as sometimes emails go to Spam by accident.
Mother’s Tattoo will usually contact you with a text message and occasionally privacy settings on your phone may count these texts for spam. If you get a response from me that says my assistant will be contacting you please double check your phones settings to ensure your messages are coming through.
